Common questions
Straight answers about assessments, funding, trials, and what happens next.
Is the in-home assessment really free?
Yes. We will come and do an assessment/trial in home at no charge for many product types.
Do I need an occupational therapist?
Not always — but for many funded wheelchairs and complex seating, an OT or other prescriber is involved. We’ll help you understand what’s typical for your pathway.
Can I buy based on a store visit alone?
You can, but we generally recommend against it for complex chairs. Home trials reduce regret when doorways, bathrooms, and daily routines tell the real story.
What about stair lifts and platform lifts?
These require a site visit to assess properly before recommendations are made.
Are hospital beds tax-exempt?
Beds are typically tax-exempt only with a medical doctor’s prescription. We’ll help you confirm what’s needed.
Do product pages include manuals?
Many do — especially Triumph walkers/rollators. Look for the Downloads tab on the product page, or visit Resources for the full PDF library.
What area do you serve?
We’re based in Chilliwack and serve BC’s Lower Mainland. Call if you’re unsure about your community.
What should I prepare before calling?
Funding source, client weight, key measurements, OT involvement, and where equipment will be used. Our wheelchair request form is a helpful checklist.
